QinetiQ North America is comprised of a growing family of companies. It is currently divided into three groups: Mission Solutions, Systems Engineering and Technology Solutions. The groups are organized as follows.

Analex Corp. specializes in providing intelligence, systems engineering and security services in support of our nation’s security. Analex focuses on developing innovative technical approaches for the intelligence community, analyzing and supporting defense systems; designing, developing and testing aerospace systems; and providing a full range of security support services to the U.S. government.

Apogen Technologies

Apogen Technologies, a leading provider of technology solutions in the federal marketplace, has been ranked as high as number 48 on the Washington Technology list of Top 100 Federal Prime Contractors, and is also listed in the top 10 Department of Homeland Security contractors. Its business includes a long and extensive history of partnership with the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection agencies. Apogen helps its customers solve mission-critical technology challenges of national significance, combining program management expertise with technical experience in network engineering and operations, software development and systems integration, enterprise architecture, training and operational support, energy and environmental engineering.

ComGlobal

Located in California's Silicon Valley, ComGlobal Systems, Inc. maintains a classified software development environment and a full communications suite within its 46,000 square foot facility. A respected supplier of Command and Control software for numerous highly complex national defense programs, ComGlobal specializes in the development, implementation, and support of Tactical Data Processors, C4I Systems (Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence), and associated networks, and provides Systems Engineering, Rapid Prototype / Software Development, Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation, and Life-Cycle support to a variety of government organizations and programs.

Foster-Miller, Inc.

Foster-Miller, Inc., is an engineering and technology development company principally located in suburban Boston, MA, on Rte. 95, "America's Technology Highway." It was founded in 1956 by three graduates of MIT who believed there was a need for a company that could solve clients' difficult technical problems through first-class analysis and design. Its staff includes more than 300 engineers, scientists and support personnel with backgrounds in a cross section of technical disciplines and professional services. It structures its projects using multi-disciplinary teams of the in-house experts best able to solve the problem at hand. Its staff produces creative and practical solutions to real-world problems, always working in concert with its client.

Planning Systems Inc.

Planning Systems Incorporated (PSI), headquartered in Reston, VA, is an industry leading technology company that serves both commercial and government clients. Its 30-year track record, combined with its technical and market expertise, means that it plays a vital role in mission-critical technology projects for a variety of companies and federal agencies. With 15 U.S. offices and over 300 employees, PSI has the resources to commercialize our innovations and serve in a prime government-contracting role. It has performed successfully on more than 400 government contracts and has won repeat awards with over a dozen federal agencies.

Apogen Technologies R&D

Apogen Technology R&D (ATRD), located in San Diego, CA, develops technologies and delivers products that provide “innovative technology solutions to mission critical challenges of national significance.” ATRD focuses on four principle areas: ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance); providing connectivity to submarine forces at speed and depth; protecting the intellectual property of the movie industry; and “finding cancer and treating it with light.”

Automatika

Automatika, located in Pittsburgh, PA, provides invention, design, system prototyping, and product manufacturing for a wide variety of automated and robotic systems used in military and civil defense, oil and gas exploration, remediation and utilities inspection. Automatika’s best known robot is Dragon Runner™, a 14-pound urban warfare robot that was co-developed with Carnegie Mellon University and funded by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Applied Perception

Applied Perception, located in Pittsburgh, PA, develops standardized perception, planning and control software and development tools to support the navigation of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Applied Perception’s software is JAUS (Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems) compliant and interfaces with radar and laser object detection systems, omni-directional cameras, and global positioning systems (GPS).

Spectro, Inc.

Spectro, Inc., of Littleton, MA is one of the largest suppliers of oil analysis equipment to the U.S. military and a host of customers worldwide. Spectro is helping Foster-Miller introduce its new, low-cost, hand-held IR spectrometer, FluidScan, via Spectro’s extensive worldwide sales and service network. In addition to FluidScan, Spectro’s manufacturing, sales and service network will provide a platform for future products and services in machinery condition diagnostics and prognostics, chemical/biological defense, and homeland security.
